In a very heart of Europe are the Tatra mountains. In the late 19th century whole artistic world became fascinated with an old Highlander's culture, especially with their unique architectural designs. A group of famous Polish artists defined this style and named it “Zakopianski Style”.

This new style was presented at the 1900 World Fair in Paris. The old cottages are to this day delighting the eye with impeccable proportions and attentions to architectural details.

The beauty of this architectural design lays in the great composition of massive logs and traditional elements of folk art, woodcarving, stone and metal art.
